Hungry Like a Wolf (Others) - Christine Warren Ok, so the h is the de facto alpha of a minor pack due to her father's death and various male members of her pack aren't happy about that. The regional alpha (book 2 I think) sends his beta to take a look and report back to him. Murphy, having the keen sense of humor he does, decides the beta (H) and the alpha (h) are mates. Yep; heck of a monkey wrench in everyone's plans. Of course, certain numb nuts never really think past their desire to dominate the h so someone tries to kill the H. This is not a good idea because if they succeed, they'll call the wrath of the regional alpha's pack on their heads. But anyway...

Much sniffing around, fighting, and sex later, the same numbnuts call for a mating something or other except the h is better than they expect and... the H shows up and... his alpha shows up and proceeds to install HIM as alpha (which was probably his intention anyway).

Anyway... 'twas an interesting read.
