Somewhere My Love, by Karen Fox

I am perplexed.  This book is not in the database, and there is not nearly enough info in the front of it for me to add it - as far as I can tell.

It eventually earned a 4 but there for a bit...

The premise was interesting. The issue was the h.

She's the enemy. She, along with her charge, find themselves kidnapped by what amounts to a group of psychic refugees. She tries the H's patience so many times, and he's nice to her in spite of everything. She keeps trying to escape you see. I can understand it to a point. That point is probably the time she almost succeeds and finds herself being dragged on a rescue mission. Even when faced with the horror of what her people are doing to his, even when almost captured, even after he's nearly beaten to death to keep her from being molested by some sort of humanoid reptiles, she's ready to bolt back to her people - for her career and because she learns something the humanoid reptiles have that will incapacitate his people. She wants to let her people know about it so they can use it.

Yeah. That's the sort of heroine we have. It's not until she comes face to face with what's left of one of his people that she'd captured before that she changes her mind.

I get that too abrupt an about-face would be suspect, but come ON. Then again, maybe if they'd taken her to THAT wing before...

Of course, when she DOES finally get it, she's convinced she just has to talk to them. Uh...right. Granted, most of the leaders were decent but you gotta have proof. She does get the proof but the risk...

I had no issues with the H.
